FHP Plans Increased Patrols for Mall at University Town Center Opening

Troopers will be out in force along Interstate 75.

Residents counting down the minutes until the Mall at University Town Center makes its official debut might want to make a note to themselves to exercise caution on the way to shop.

The Florida Highway Patrol has announced plans to beef up patrols in the area of the mall during grand opening festivities Oct. 16-19.

“It is anticipated that there will be increased traffic volume during this time period, so all motorist are encouraged to drive safely and distracted free,” an email from Lt.
