Fire Causes Significant Damage To Cortez Road Burger King
A fire caused significant damage to the Burger King at 2319 Cortez Road West on Wednesday, May 2.

CEDAR HAMMOCK, FL – A fire caused significant damage to the Burger King at 2319 Cortez Road West on Wednesday, May 2.
Cedar Hammock Fire Rescue units responded to the structure fire shortly after 6 p.m. with four engines and a battalion chief.
The fire department was assisted by Manatee County Emergency Services, Southern Manatee Fire Rescue and the City Of Bradenton Fire Department.

Crews arrived within four minutes of receiving the call and found moderate smoke coming from the roof and attic space. The fire was brought under control within 15 minutes.
One employee received a minor burn and was treated at the scene.

The fire was ruled accidental. The building sustained about $50,000.00 in damage.
