Florida Woman Joins List of Bill Cosby Accusers

The Boca Raton nurse came forward Thursday.

A 57-year-old Floridian is the latest in a growing line of woman to accuse actor and comedian Bill Cosby of sexual assault.

Therese Serignese, a nurse in Boca Raton, came forward Thursday with allegations against the star. Serignese claims the 1976 assault happened backstage after a Las Vegas show.

Cosby, she said, gave her two pills that made her feel drugged, according to the Tampa Bay Times.

“The next memory I have was I was in a bathroom and I was kind of bending forward and he was behind me having sex with me,” USA Today quoted her as saying.

Carla Ferrigno, wife of actor Lou, has also come forward saying Cosby forced her to kiss him.

A number of other women have also lodged similar allegations, including one who says she was 17 at the time of her attack, the Times reported.

While the number of accusers grows, backlash against Cosby is also mounting. NBC and Netflix have both canceled projects with the comedian, Fox News reports.

Cosby’s lawyer has issued a statement regarding the allegations. In it, he said, the allegations are decades’ old and have been discredited. “The fact that they are being repeated does not make them true,” the Times quoted him as saying.

Cosby is expected to perform live at Melbourne’s King Center for the Performing Arts Friday.
