THE FRENCH …
The French gave us … French Toast … French Fries … , and I'm guessing, “un baiser avec la langue” .
They also gave us the Statue of Liberty in 1886. Since that time Lady Liberty have been welcoming Travelers, Immigrants and Refugees from all over the World with her words … “Give me your tired, your poor/Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free"!
