General Knowledge Test Workshop Available for Aspiring Educators

The Educator Preparation Institute (EPI) at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) is offering a workshop to help aspiring teachers prepare for the General Knowledge Test (GKT) Essay subtest at SCF Lakewood Ranch, 7131 Professional Parkway E., Sarasota, Center for Innovation Technology, Room 214. Participants will attend three Saturday sessions, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., Oct. 10, Oct. 17 and Oct. 24. Interested participants must register by Wednesday, Oct. 7 by visiting SCF.edu/CCDenroll and searching for class ID# 13612.
This EPI workshop is designed to help participants improve their essay-writing skills. Classes will be led by an instructor with writing training and K-12 classroom teaching experience. The fee for the workshop is $79.
