Goodwill Manasota presents financial literacy class at Bradenton Housing Authority

Free workshop to address budgeting, use of credit and financial wellness

Goodwill Manasota will present the “Budgeting & Financial Wellness Workshop” at the Bradenton Housing Authority (2002 9th Avenue E., Bradenton) on Wednesday, June 10 from 2:00-4:00pm. During the workshop, which is free and open to the public, Goodwill’s financial literacy educator Nancy Crawford will cover topics including budgeting skills, savings needs and the use of credit.

This program is part of Goodwill’s “Good Neighbor” program. Good Neighbor programs are designed to meet specific needs of neighborhood and community residents, often through classes and strategic alliances between Goodwill and other organizations. Classes are always free and open to the public.

“Our Good Neighbor Program seeks to strengthen and connect our community,” said Goodwill Manasota president and CEO Bob Rosinsky. “While Goodwill focuses its efforts on removing barriers to employment, we believe it’s also crucial for community members to understand basic financial concepts that will help them to maximize their family’s economic capacity and increase their chances for self-sufficiency. We thank the Bradenton Housing Authority for partnering with us to bring this program to local residents who might find it of great value.”

To register, please contact Avenett Gallardo, FSS occupancy coordinator for the Bradenton Housing Authority, at (941) 748-5568, ext. 222.
