Green-Haired Florida Man Denied Taco Bell Pouts for Police Camera

He put on a full pout for the camera following his Sunday arrest in Volusia County.

Gabriel Harris just wanted to satisfy a late-night craving for Taco Bell.

Unfortunately for the 33-year-old New Smyrna Beach man, his bicycle just wasn’t welcome in the restaurant’s drive-through window at 3 a.m. on a Sunday, according to the Daytona Beach News-Journal. When workers there asked him to leave since he wasn’t in a vehicle, he refused.

Not sure what else to do and wanting to go home since the eatery was closing, workers called the New Smyrna Beach Police Department for help. When officers arrived, Harris was sitting on his bike by the menu speaker, the Miami Herald  reported.

They, too, asked Harris to simply leave. Harris, however, reached for a Swiss Army knife on his belt and grabbed the officer’s wrist.

That move resulted in Harris being wrestled to the ground. It was followed by a trip to the Volusia County Jail. He was charged with resisting arrest with violence and was later released on $1,000 bond.

Harris had a cycling companion with him that night, but she seems to have complied with officers’ requests and was not charged in the incident.

Harris and his companion didn’t get their taco cravings satisfied either. That development seems to have saddened Harris, who is shown with a full pout on his face in his arrest mug shot.
