Highway Patrol On Lookout For Drunk Drivers This Weekend
In anticipation of the holiday weekend before Presidents' Day, the Florida Highway Patrol will hold a DUI Wolfpack Operation.

SARASOTA, FL -- Those planning to lift a cup or two in honor of the nation's presidents better think twice about driving.
In anticipation of the holiday weekend before Presidents' Day, the Florida Highway Patrol will hold a DUI Wolfpack Operation from 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, to 4 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 18, in Desoto, Hardee, Highlands, Manatee and Sarasota counties.
The Wolfpack Operation will focus on Interstate 75 and major state and county roadways.

Troopers conducting the detail will be mobile while monitoring traffic to better keep an eye out for impaired drivers.
Florida law considers a driver with .08 or higher Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) to be impaired. Drivers under the age of 21 with a BAC of .02 or higher are also in violation of Florida law.
