Intercoastal Medical Group and UnitedHealthcare reach agreement

MANATEE COUNTY -- Intercoastal Medical Group and UnitedHealthcare have reached an agreement whereby Intercoastal will continue its acceptance of new UnitedHealthcare insurance members and continue to treat existing members. Previously, Intercoastal had announced that it was discontinuing acceptance of UnitedHealthcare insurance later this summer.

“We are accepting new UnitedHealthcare patients and do not anticipate any changes to our status as a network provider in the near future,” stated Intercoastal Administrator Geoffrey G. Simon, FACMPE. “We are continuing to work diligently on the documents necessary to continue our relationship with UHC.”

Intercoastal Medical Group is a professional association of more than 85 physicians in more than a dozen specialties, serving Sarasota and Manatee counties with seven locations.
