MANATEE COUNTY, FL — First responders recently rescued a kitten trapped inside a concrete block at a Manatee County home. (Watch a video of the rescue below.)

Deputy Lauren Jalowiec responded to a call about the kitten on July 25 around 6 a.m., according to a Manatee County Sheriff’s Office Facebook post.

When she arrived, the owners were trying to lure the cat out. They realized that the kitten was unable to escape.

West Manatee Fire Rescue responded and fire crews determined the only way to get the kitten out was to break the concrete wall, the sheriff’s office said.

“Thankfully, they were able to pull the scared little guy to safety, and Dep. Jalowiec's body (camera) captured the rescue,” MCSO wrote.
