How long have you been a fishing guide?: 30 years.
What do you like most about your job?: I keep people safe, and they catch fish. They know they're going to be safe; they know I have good equipment. There's as much heritage in guiding, going back in Florida, as there is for commercial fishing.

What do you dislike about your job?: Paying for gas. Because I'm strapped.
What do you like about Bradenton?: It's a little town. It's always going to be. There's a group of people I've known forever, and I'm fortunate to have lived here 50 years. It's the best place to live in the world.
What do you wish people knew about your job?: That if you're doing it right, it's a lot more work than you think. And you're responsible for everybody on the boat. Legally.
