Local businesswoman lives and breathes a culture of corporate social responsibility
Nancy's Bar-B-Q owner, Nancy Krohngold, supports Goodwill Manasota

Nancy Krohngold, who opened Nancy’s Bar-B-Q in Sarasota in 2011 after catering to local residents and businesses owners for a decade, has added “Goodwill Ambassador” to her long list of achievements and awards. Though the title may not have come after winning a barbecue competition, it is one she is proud to hold.
“I am excited to become involved with Goodwill Manasota. I’m a shopper and a donor, and I believe in its mission of changing lives. Sarasota is an extremely philanthropic community and so many people give back – it’s just what we do,” said Nancy Krohngold, owner of Nancy’s Bar-B-Q. “I’ve been fortunate to have the support of this community and it’s our responsibility as businesses to give back and help nonprofits such as Goodwill. I also really enjoy the quality of clothes I buy – in fact, the majority of my work shirts are from Goodwill!”
During the July 29 Young Guns of Country concert, presented in partnership with 106.5 CTQ and iHeart Media, Goodwill was the recipient of food and beverages donated by Nancy’s Bar-B-Q for the VIP Eat & Greet lounge, sponsored by RSS Rapid Security Solutions. The concert took place on the “Cool Today” stage at the Sarasota “Opry” House; food from Nancy’s Bar-B-Q was sold to an audience of approximately 1,100 people. Not only did Krohngold donate the food for the VIP lounge, she also donated a portion of the proceeds from food and beverages sold during the event to Goodwill.
“Nancy Krohngold is the perfect example of a local business owner who has taken it upon herself to give back to people in her community. She is a fantastic Goodwill Ambassador because she embodies everything we value at Goodwill – she believes in the power of a job, a steady paycheck, and giving people a chance to succeed,” said Bob Rosinsky, President & CEO of Goodwill Manasota. “Goodwill is a local nonprofit organization with approximately 900 local employees, a local board of directors and – in essence – Goodwill is owned by this community. People like Nancy understand that, and that’s why they become involved. Thank you to Nancy and her team for showing good corporate social responsibility – you are directly impacting our ability to reach our mission of changing lives through the power of work.”
