Local schools seeks community help for new weight room

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- Lakewood Ranch High School (LRHS) has started a GoFundMe effort to raise money for a new weight room.

The current LRHS weight room's equipment is close to 25 years old and needs to be updated.

LRHS athletic director Kent Ringquist said, "The technology has changed through the years and how we train athletes has changed. The equipment that we have today can't meet the needs of our student athletes.”

All donations are appreciated and will go directly to the renovations.

Ringquist added, “Once we start getting the word out there, we believe the student athletes will be excited to train in our new facility.”
