Man Shot Walking to Mailbox, Deputies Say
The Bradenton man's injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

A 24-year-old Bradenton man was hospitalized Friday after being shot outside his home.
According to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office, Shacoy D. Hernandez was checking his mailbox in the 6200 block of 11th Street East around 10:30 a.m. when he was shot.
Hernandez was taken to a local hospital for treatment, an email from the sheriff’s office said. He told deputies he did not see the shooter, but might have seen the suspect vehicle.

Deputies are asking for anyone with information to call the sheriff’s office at 941-737-3011 or Crime Stoppers at 1-866-634-TIPS.
Hernandez, the sheriff’s office said, suffered an injury that is believed to be non-life-threatening. No further details are available at this time.
