Man Stabbed 2 People in the Back of the Neck, Deputies Say

He was brought into custody early Friday morning after allegedly stabbing two Bradenton residents.

A 29-year-old man faces aggravated battery charges after Manatee County deputies say he stabbed two Bradenton residents in their home Thursday evening.

According to the sheriff’s office, Nicole Lloyd, 31, and Jon Bowman, 38, were visited by a family acquaintance at their home on 11th Street East around 6:45 p.m. The man, identified by deputies as Ian Sean Parker, visited for a while and then left.

After Parker’s departure, Lloyd began cooking dinner. As she was standing at the stove, deputies say, Parker re-entered the home and stabbed her in the back of the neck.

Bowman heard Lloyd’s screams, a media release stated, and rushed to her aid.

“Ian saw Jon approaching and then bear hugged Jon,” the release said. While holding Jon, Ian is accused of stabbing him at least once in the back of the neck, as well.

Parker, deputies say, then took off from the home. A search for him was kicked off and deputies were able to find him early Friday morning inside his vehicle on Moccasin Wallow Road and U.S. 301 in the Parrish area.

Parker was brought into custody and charged with two counts of aggravated battery. Deputies say both victims suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Parker was being held without bond in the Manatee County Jail Friday morning.
