Manatee County Election Results 2014

Democrat Charles Smith and Republican Carol Whitmore have won seats on the county commission.

With all 70 precincts reporting, it appears that Democrat Charles B. Smith and Republican Carol Whitmore have won seats on the Manatee County Commission.

Smith won his District 2 race with 9,369 votes or 71.2 percent. Write ins took 4.54 percent, or 598 votes, according to Manatee County Supervisor of Elections unofficial results.

In the District 6 races, Whitmore earned 56.48 percent, or 65,202 votes. Democrat challenger Terri Wonder garnered 38.07 percent, or 43,950 votes.

City of Bradenton Ward 3

  • Patrick Roff – 50.05 percent, 7,455 votes
  • Paul Thomas – 34.6 percent, 5,153 votes

City of Bradenton Beach Ward 4

  • Tjet Martin – 27.61 percent, 135 votes
  • Janet E. Vosburgh – 67.69 percent, 331 votes
