Manatee Jrs. defeat Lakewood Ranch Jrs. for District 26 title

Manatee Jrs. defeat Lakewood Ranch Jrs. for District 26 title

Manatee American-National Jr. All Stars defeated Lakewood

Ranch 5 to 3 to win the District 26 championship and advance to

Sectionals in Land O'Lakes Florida.


Wyatt Hollifield started for Lakewood Ranch and Michael

Wilson closed. Christopher Lanza started the game for Manatee

and went all the way for a complete game victory.


Nathan Hyman's two run single up the middle broke

a 3-3 tie and proved to be the winning runs. Justin Bazzy

had a solid game behind the plate throwing out two baserunners.


Aiden Rosenthal drove in the first run for Lakewood Ranch.

Mason Bradley drove in run number two while Michael Wilson

tied the game at 3-3 by stealing third and coming home on an error.

Lakewood Ranch Jrs. coaching staff of Joe Benedetto, Brian Hollifield,

and Scott Bradley along with Manatee's staff of Jeff Pulaski, Rob Lyerla,

Jason Parsons and Ricky Reyes were proud of the efforts of all the players

and the sportsmanship shown throughout the tourney.
