MANATEE COUNTY, FL — A mobile disaster recovery center for those affected by Hurricane Idalia will open at the Rubonia Community Center, 1309 72nd Street E., starting Saturday, 1 to 7 p.m., according to a Manatee County news release.

The recovery center, organized by the Federal Emergency Management Agency and other agencies, will be open daily for the next month from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., in the parking lot next to the community center. Additional dates and locations may be added as needed.

Information will be available from Florida state agencies, FEMA and the U.S. Small Business Administration. Residents can get help applying for federal assistance and disaster loans, updating applications, and finding other available recovery resources.

Manatee County has been approved for individual assistance and small business assistance following the hurricane, which allows individuals and households in the county to apply for financial and direct services from FEMA.
