BRADENTON, FL — Investigators are looking for the suspect in a Thursday morning fatal shooting at a Bradenton mobile home park, according to a Manatee County Sheriff’s Office news release.

Deputies responded to the Mel Mar Village Mobile Home Park in the 2800 block of 14th Street W. around 8:30 a.m.

They found a 23-year-old Hispanic man with a severe gunshot wound to his head inside a mobile home, the sheriff’s office said. EMS responded and tried to save the victim, who died at the scene a few minutes later.

A witness told detectives that the victim argued with another man, who shot him in the head. The suspect ran from the area before deputies arrived.

Detectives are following leads and believe the victim and the suspect, who knew each other, were arguing over drugs, the sheriff’s office said.
