Moms' Battle Over Bullying Ends in Stabbing on School Bus, Deputies Say
A fight between adults ended with a child being stabbed in the hand.

When a Pompano Beach mother boarded a school bus Thursday morning to confront a child about bullying, the situation turned violent when another parent stepped in.
A fight between the moms broke out with one pulling out a knife, CBS reported.
A 15-year-old girl was stabbed in the hand during the scuffle, Local 10 reported, noting the initial dispute was over a bullying incident.

The incident unfolded around 8:40 a.m. Thursday near the intersection of Northwest 27th Avenue and Northwest 5th Street, according to the Broward County Sheriff’s Office. The girl was taken to Broward Health North for treatment of the injury.
Deputies were still sorting out all the details late Thursday morning.

It is unclear if an arrest has been made in the case. The names of those involved have not yet been released.
This isn’t the first time in recent months a parent’s attempt to confront a bully has gone south. In December, an Orange County woman was charged with kidnapping after she was accused of putting an 11-year-old Orlando boy in a choke hold and forcing him into her car so she could drive him home to tell his mother what he had done to her daughter.
The boy was accused of calling the woman’s 9-year-old daughter a name and pulling on her backpack.
The case against Rivera remains open in the Orange County court system. She entered a plea of not guilty on kidnapping and child abuse charges Jan. 29. A trial has been scheduled to begin March 16, according to court records. The maximum sentence for a kidnapping conviction in the state of Florida is life.
