Motorcyclist Dies In U.S. 41 Crash In Manatee County Crash: FHP
A motorcyclist died and another person seriously injured in a crash on U.S. 41 in Manatee County Saturday afternoon, FL troopers said.
MANATEE COUNTY, FL — A motorcyclist died after a Saturday afternoon crash on U.S. 41 in Manatee County, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.
The motorcyclist, a 30-year-old Sarasota man, was speeding as he headed north on U.S. 41, just north of 66th Avenue W., around 12:30 p.m., FHP said.
At the same time, a car was traveling south on U.S. 41 in the left turning lane north of 66th Avenue W.

The car turned left into a driveway on 14th Street in front of the motorcycle, which hit the car’s right side, FHP said.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

The car’s driver, a 63-year-old Bradenton man, was seriously injured in the crash.
