Naples Thunder 11U opens the season at Suncoast Tourney

In their first tourney this season the Naples Thunder 11U team went 0-3 while playing
very competitively at the Suncoast Gold Glove Tournament on September 10 and 11th.

While outhitting the Pinellas Park Crushers the Thunder lost the opening game 6-4. The
Thunder fell to the Patriots 8-1 and the Predators won 9-1 the other tourney games.

The Thunder team is comprised of former Naples Bulldogs, Black Sox and Naples Hammerheads
players. They are all together for the first time. The Thunder looks to improve as the players come
from winning programs. Many of the players recently moved up to 12-u so and adjustment is expected.

The Thunder roster consists of: #55 Alan Palomino, #4 Brock O'lone, #9 Cole Young, #22 Connor Beckman
#16 Drew Stilwell, #6 Jackson Geiger, #27 Junior Maradona, #17 Kevin Gonzalez, #42 Landon Johnston
#15 Mauricio Barrientos and #2 Ryder Woodson.

The Thunder have a dedicated coaching staff starting with former Seattle Mariners pitcher, Kerry Woodson.
Kerry is assisted by coach & firefighter Mike Maradona along with Coach Dale Geiger a former manager of the championship Naples Bulldogs.
