No School Monday Throughout Most of the Bay Area
Students and teachers get some time off to observe Presidents Day.

Public school students throughout most of the Tampa Bay area can look forward to a long weekend as Presidents Day nears.
Public schools in Pasco, Sarasota, Pinellas and Manatee counties are all shuttering their doors in observance of the national holiday, according to the individual districts’ calendars.
Presidents Day is the last day off for students in some counties for a while, but Spring Break is right around the corner. Here is a breakdown of the next days off by county:

Manatee
Students will be released early on March 11 and Spring Break kicks off on March 27. It runs through April 5. The first day back at class after the break is April 6.

Pasco
Students here go on spring break starting March 16 and don’t return to class until March 24, following a March 23 teacher planning day.
Pinellas
Students here have March 16 off as the third quarter ends. Spring Break runs March 30 through April 3.
Sarasota
The next day off after Presidents Day for Sarasota kids is March 9 when Spring Break kicks off. The respite lasts through March 13.
Hillsborough
While Hillsborough students don’t have Presidents Day off, Monday is an early release day. Students on the east side of the county get March 2 off for Strawberry Festival Day. Spring Break kicks off March 9 and runs through March 13 with a return to class set for an early release day on March 16.
