18-Year-Old Woman Stabbed at Nudist Resort

LOXAHATCHEE, FL – Palm Beach County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a Sunday morning stabbing that has left one woman injured and about 100 guests and employees at a Florida nudist resort shocked.

The incident happened around 9:30 a.m. at Sunsport Gardens Naturist Resort in Loxahatchee, according to a sheriff’s office media release. The 18-year-old woman was walking on a nature trail when someone stabbed her multiple times, ABC news reported.

The woman, who has not been identified by the sheriff’s office, was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Her wounds have been described as non-life-threatening. There were no witnesses to the attack and suspect and motive information are not readily available.

The victim was said to have been traveling from Georgia to the Keys. She rode a bicycle to the resort, ABC news reported.

Sunsport Gardens is described as a family resort that offers campsites and rental accommodations. It is one of many similar resorts found throughout Florida. Sunsport Gardens’ manager Morley Schloss was quoted by ABC as saying there has never been an incident at the resort like Sunday morning’s.

“It’s a peaceful, quiet, family oriented place,” Schloss said.
