BRADENTON, FL — An officer was hit by a car Tuesday while directing traffic, the Bradenton Police Department shared on Facebook.

The officer was guiding traffic around a crash that happened earlier at Manatee Avenue and 43rd Street W. when they hit by another vehicle, the agency said.

After being brought to a local hospital, the officer is in stable condition, police said.
