Oxygen Tank Explodes At Home, 1 Dead: Bradenton Police

BRADENTON, FL — One person was killed in a home explosion in the 4400 block of Fairways Boulevard, according to a Wednesday afternoon Facebook post by Bradenton police.

The explosion happened after a flame was lit in a room where oxygen was being administered, police said. The person’s death remains under investigation.

The Red Cross will provide assistance to other occupants of the residence where the explosion took place, police said.
