Parrish Woman Dies After Old Tampa Road Crash: FHP
A woman was killed after losing control of her car on Old Tampa Road and hitting a sign, 3 utility poles, Florida Highway Patrol said.
MANATEE COUNTY, FL — A 47-year-old Parrish woman died after a single-vehicle crash on Old Tampa Road Sunday afternoon, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.
Just after 5 p.m., while heading west, she lost control of her car as she approached a left curve in the road just west of Chin Road, FHP.
After veering off the road and into the grass shoulder, the front of her car hit a left curve sign and three wooden utility poles, the agency said.

Her car overturned and came to a stop in the north grass shoulder.
She was pronounced dead at the scene, FHP said. The crash remains under investigation.
