Pedestrian Hit By 2 Cars Dies In Manatee County: FHP
A pedestrian crossing 26th Ave. E. in Manatee County died Tuesday after being hit by two cars, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
MANATEE COUNTY, FL — A pedestrian died after being hit by two cars Tuesday night in Manatee County, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.
A 73-year-old Bradenton woman stepped in front of an SUV while walking south across 26th Avenue East, near 12th Street Court East, from the north shoulder around 8:30 p.m., the agency said.
The SUV, driven by a 52-year-old Bradenton man, was heading west on 26th Avenue E. at the time of the crash.

After that initial collision, the undercarriage of a car driven by a 21-year-old Sarasota woman hit the pedestrian, who was pronounced dead at the scene, FHP said.
Neither driver nor the passengers of the car, a 19-year-old woman and 3-year-old girl, both of Sarasota, were injured in the crash, which is being investigated.
