Pedestrian Killed in Bradenton Crash

A Bradenton man is dead following an accident on 15th Street East at the intersection of 32nd Avenue East Thursday evening.

According to the Florida highway patrol, the pedestrian, who has not been identified, crossed in a dark area outside of a crosswalk. The man, a highway patrol report said, walked directly into the path of an oncoming 1996 Toyota Tacoma driven by Jean Altine, 49, of Bradenton around 8:55 p.m.

The pedestrian was taken to Manatee Memorial Hospital where he later died from his injuries, troopers noted. Altine was not injured in the crash.

No charges have been filed.
