Troopers Seek Hit-And-Run Driver In Bradenton: FHP
A 72-year-old man was killed while crossing U.S. 41 at 58th Avenue West Monday morning, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
BRADENTON, FL — Troopers are investigating the death of a 72-year-old man who was killed by a hit-and-run driver in Bradenton Monday morning, the Florida Highway Patrol said in a news release.
The man was crossing the six-lane highway U.S. 41 near 58th Avenue West around 6:45 a.m. when he was struck by an unidentified driver and killed. The pedestrian was outside the crosswalk when the crash happened, FHP said.
The driver didn’t stop after the accident and drove away without assisting the 72-year-old, FHP said. The man was pronounced dead at the scene by Manatee County EMS.
