Puppy Mistaken For Burglar At Bradenton Home, Business: Watch
Homeowners called 911 about an intruder. "Spoiler alert: it wasn't Santa," said Bradenton police, who found the family puppy instead.

BRADENTON, FL — Homeowners called 911 after hearing noises from their business, which is attached to their home, and thinking it was a burglar.
They were surprised to learn who the real “pupper-trator” was, Bradenton police wrote in a Facebook post. (Watch a video of officers responding to the call below.)
“Twas a few nights before Christmas and all through the house (with attached business) a creature was stirring — but it wasn’t a mouse! Suddenly, there arose such a clatter. The homeowners sprang from their beds wondering what is the matter?” police wrote in the post. “Out of their home, they flew like a flash. They called 911, and Bradenton PD officers responded in a dash.”

“Bradenton police, anybody inside?” one officer was heard asking as they walk through the door.
Another officer opened what appears to be a closet door and spotted a puppy on the floor.
“Come here, buddy,” he said as he scooped up the dog. “I think we found the culprit.”
The other officer said, “Oh my gosh.”
“That’s our baby,” the woman said when the officers brought the pup outside to the homeowners.
One of the officers told them the puppy has knocked into “a bunch of ceiling lights,” breaking them.
