Relay For Life's Flash Mob Highlights Farmers Market

Dozens gave a memorable performance in downtown Bradenton to help raise money for cancer research.

Relay For Life brought together dozens of volunteers, including students, who danced for the crowd at the downtown farmer's market as part of a flash mob.  The performance drew cheers and applause from many who were at the market.

Relay For Life is a fundraiser for cancer research and a community event that celebrates the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost and honor those who have battled the disease. Mimi Tran and choreographer Chris Chawi, a hip hop instructor at Sarabay Dance Club and cancer survivor himself, organized Saturday's flash mob.

There will be team parties in the coming weeks as well as the "Cirque Du Relay" from April 21 and 22 from 1 p.m. to 7 a.m. at G.T. Bray Park. For more information, go to www.relayforlife.org/bradentonfl.
