RV Driver Dies After Crash During Medical Episode: FL Highway Patrol
A Michigan man lost control of the RV when he had a medical episode while driving in Manatee County, Florida Highway Patrol said.
MANATEE COUNTY, FL — A Michigan man died Sunday afternoon after crashing the recreational vehicle he was driving in Manatee County during a medical episode, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.
The 75-year-old man was driving on State Road 64 East, west of 26th Street East, just before 12:30 p.m., when he lost control while driving around a curve, the agency said.
He traveled off the road, entered the eastbound grass shoulder, and hit a wire fence and trees.

The driver was flown to an area hospital and later pronounced dead, FHP said.
His passenger, a 73-year-old Indiana woman, was uninjured in the crash.
