Saint Stephen’s Honored With Prestigious Journalism Award

The Columbia Scholastic Press Association awarded the student-run newspaper the Silver Medal in the annual nationwide competition.

For the fifth time in six years, Saint Stephen’s Episcopal School’s student-run newspaper, The Gauntlet, won the Silver Medal from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association.

“We are enormously proud of the entire Gauntlet staff and each of the individual award winners,” said Nadia Watts, the students’ journalism teacher. “The students form a talented team, and it is exciting for them to have their efforts recognized on a national level.”

The Columbia Scholastic Press Association sponsors the annual contest to “seek out and publicize the best practices in student writing, editing and publishing”  at high school newspapers across the U.S.
