SCF Business and Technology Hosts Business Networking Event

The Business and Technology department at SCF hosted an employer open house designed to connect students with businesses.

The Business and Technology department at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) hosted an employer open house designed to connect students with businesses. About 85 students took part in the networking event at SCF Bradenton, gaining exposure to local companies and job opportunities.

Two large technology firms – Star2Star Communications and SouthTech – joined the open house. Both companies have since employed SCF interns. Other companies that participated included FCCI Insurance, The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art, and the government administrations for Manatee and Sarasota counties. The businesses also are utilizing “Handshake,” SCF’s new employment internship software program.
