‘Shell-Shocked’ Tiny Tortoise Rescued: Bradenton Police
A "shell-shocked" tiny tortoise was found taking refuge at the Community Oriented Policing House, Bradenton police said.
BRADENTON, FL — A “shell-shocked” tiny tortoise was found taking refuge at the Community Oriented Policing House, Bradenton police wrote in a Facebook post.
The tortoise was “a tad out of place,” police said. “Following a slow-speed pursuit, Officer Sanchez and Officer Gruenig took the turtle into custody and transported it to Wildlife, Inc. for a welfare check.”
The officers named the tortoise, which was rescued on Tuesday, Taco.
