1 In Custody After Shootout; Deputies Search For Suspect: Sheriff

BRADENTON, FL — One man is in custody as deputies look for a second suspect involved in a Monday afternoon shootout in the 1100 block of 12th Street West in Bradenton, Manatee County Sheriff’s Office public information officer Randy Warren said in an email.

The two men shot at each other from separate vehicles, Warren said. There are “no injuries that we know of, as of right now,” he added.

Bradenton police tweeted around 3:45 p.m. Monday that they were responding to the shooting. Around 4:30 p.m., police tweeted that the MCSO were investigating the incident.

Police said that drivers should “avoid the area if possible.”
