Shots Fired At East Bradenton House Party; Two Injured: Sheriff

The gunman is still at large after an early Sunday morning shooting at house party, the Manatee County Sheriff's Office said.

MANATEE COUNTY, FL — Two people were injured after shots were fired at an East Manatee County house party early Sunday morning, the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

Shots were heard after the party ended just before 3 a.m. in the 6700 block of Oakmont Way near the River Club golf course, the sheriff’s office said.

No one was shot during the incident, though two people were injured as partygoers attempted to leave, deputies said. Neither injury is life-threatening.

The sheriff’s office had already visited the party after receiving multiple calls about a large number of cars and noise in the 6700 block of Oakmont Way. When deputies arrived, there was no excessive noise and the party organizers helped locate vehicle owners so cars could be removed, MCSO said.
