Braden River U10 Soccer team at the 2016 Thanksgiving Tournament

The Braden River U10 Boys Academy put on a strong show at the 2016 Thanksgiving Tournament.

Braden River Soccer Club practices an "academy" style for their competitive teams from U8 though U10. The U10 boys team currently consists of a total of 27 players. With the youth academy approach, the U10 boys all train and practice together and the focus is on the overall growth of each player. Scores are not kept so wins and losses are not tracked. The success of the academy is not measured by game outcomes, but rather by player performance and overall development.

Multiple coaches are involved with the large academy team and engage the players in different drills throughout practice and pregame warm-ups. The Braden River Soccer Club U10 Academy coaches include: Head Coaches Nick Leduc and Joey Sandoval and volunteer coaches Chris Cockrell and Will Luther. Players who are interested in goalkeeping may train with Coach Gjoko Tasevski for a portion of practice as well.

During regular league games, the boys are divided into 3 even teams and play games with their particular group for 4-6 weeks at a time. Then, the coaches reevaluated the players and organize them into 3 new evenly skilled teams. They travel as far north as Tampa and as far south as Venice.

The full roster for the BRSC U10 Boys Academy Team consist of: Clayton Canham, Wilhelm Cockrell, Ronaldo Cruz, Sanjay Dastidar, Ryan DiLascia, Daniel Erazo, Cooper Flammang, Jackson Flammang, Quinn Flammang, George Frano, Alessandro Fulk, Bryan Gonzalez, Ethan Goodman, Carlos Guerra, Dylan Johnson, Vayle Johnson, Nico Juliano, William Luther, Corbin Meyer, Gavin Moore, Noah Murack, Oliver Murray, Merrick Nicholls, Victor Olvera, Drew Pintacuda, EJ Vasquez and Mark Yencik.
