Southeastern Guide Dog gets a Special Name!
Profession Women in Business name a Southeastern Guide dog with their charity money

In 2014, a beautiful, pure bread, yellow lab named Levi attended a SWAT Networking meeting. One of the members of the organization, Karen Conkel was a “puppy raiser” and brought the puppy in training to a meeting. Over that year, the SWAT “Sisters” became very fond of Levi and he was always the hit of the meeting. At about 8 months of age, Levi got his service dog jacket and practiced being a service dog. When he graduated the program, the sisters felt a real loss. Several months later, the members of SWAT Networking chose the Southeastern Guide Dogs as their Charity recipient for 2015. Due to the generosity of the women, Southeastern Guide Dogs allowed them to name a puppy. They requested a female dog- of course and another yellow lab. The name that was voted on for the new dog was Sadie. The name Sadie is a Hebrew word meaning Princess. After waiting for just the right puppy, the Southeastern Guide Dogs finally found the right dog. SWAT Networking (Successful Women Aligning Together) welcomes the puppy they sponsored and named! They can now follow the journey of Future Super Hero, Sadie!! Thank you to Anita Miller (pictured) for raising and loving Sadie!
