BRADENTON, FL -- Generally during Teacher Appreciation Week, educators can look forward to a thank-you card or perhaps an apple or two. One thing they don't expect is to get kicked by a student.
That's what happened at Electa Arcotte Lee Magnet Middle School, 4000 53rd Ave. W., Bradenton, on Friday, May 11, at the conclusion of National Teacher Appreciation Week.
According to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office, the student was videotaped kicking a teacher while walking down the school hallway.

The teacher sustained no serious injury but the student was arrested and charged with battery.
