Substitute Teacher Charged With Child Porn Possession: Police
John L. Wingate, 25, a substitute teacher for the School District of Manatee County, faces 30 counts of child porn possession, police said.
BRADENTON, FL — A 25-year-old substitute teacher for the School District of Manatee County has been charged with the possession of child pornography, Bradenton police said in a news release.
John L. Wingate faces 30 counts of child porn possession. He was arrested Friday, police said.
Bradenton police, working with the FBI’s Child Exploitation Task Force, began investigating Wingate in March after receiving credible information about the transmission of child pornography.

Detectives served digital and physical search warrants related to the case in the 4800 block of 51st Street West in Bradenton, where digital evidence was found, police said.
