Toddler Drowns In Pool At Bradenton Vacation Rental Home: Police

A boy visiting Bradenton with his family from Arkansas drowned in the pool of a vacation rental home Wednesday afternoon, police said.

BRADENTON, FL — A toddler drowned Wednesday afternoon at a vacation rental home in the 2800 block of 23rd Avenue W., according to a Bradenton Police Department news release.

A family member found the 15-month-old child unresponsive in the pool around 4:15 p.m. and pulled him from the water.

Despite life-saving measures by EMS and medical professionals at Blake Hospital, the boy died just before 5 p.m., police said.

The victim and his family were visiting the Bradenton area from Arkansas.

The drowning appears to be accidental, though the investigation is ongoing, police said.
