Turning Points Appoints Two New Members to its Board of Directors

Turning Points announces the appointment of Pat Osburn and Erika Lisch to its Board of Directors.

BRADENTON – Turning Points announces the appointment of two new members to its Board of Directors. Joining the Board of Directors are Pat Osburn and Erika Lisch.

Pat is the President of Boyd Insurance and Investment Services. He graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Business Administration. Prior to graduation he was drafted and signed by the Cincinnati Reds where he spent seven years playing professional baseball. He joined Boyd Insurance in the fall of 1976 and it was in 1990 when he was named President of Boyd Insurance and Investment Services. Being introduced to Bradenton to play baseball for Manatee Junior College, Pat decided to make Manatee County his permanent home in 1971.

Pat and his wife, Dina Mercadante, enjoy spending time with their five children and their golden retriever. His hobbies include, golf, physical fitness and reading. As an All-American for the 1970 Seminole baseball team, Pat and Dina enjoy attending Seminole sporting events and cheering on their alma mater. Pat holds an Accredited Advisor of Insurance designation and has served on the Agent Advisory Board of Hanover Insurance Company. He has served nine years on the Board for the Desoto Boys and Girls Club and held the position of Board Director. Pat also served as the President of Manatee County Babe Ruth League for 3 years and has coached various youth baseball teams. In 2012, he was inducted into State College of Florida’s Athletic Hall of Fame for his career at, what was then, Manatee Junior College.

Erika is a Certified Public Accountant with Cavanaugh and Company and is a 5th generation Manatee County resident. A University of Florida graduate, Ericka moved to Chicago after graduation. While living in Chicago, she received her Masters in Accounting from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Once completed, she decided to move back to be closer to family and start her new career in the community that was always "home".

Erika is a CPA in the audit department of Cavanaugh & Company and serves on the Executive Board of the Junior League of Manatee County. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling as much as possible, and all things “Gator”. She is also a founding member of Cheers for Charity, a Women’s Giving Circle with the Lakewood Ranch Community Fund.

Turning Points also wants to commend and thank Mark McLaughlin, John McKay and Dr. Peter Mattina for their amazing service on the Board of Directors. They recently resigned as they each served the term limit of 9 years on the Board. Their contribution to the organization has been immense and unprecedented! Please join us in thanking Mark, John and Peter for their service and in welcoming Pat & Erika to the Board of Directors.
