Turning Points Volunteers Needed

Turning Points needs your help in spreading the word. We are looking for great volunteers to help in many areas of our four major programs. The success of Turning Points is due to the ongoing dedication of amazing volunteers who provide efficient and compassionate direct and indirect service at the agency and we are in urgent need of volunteers for the following areas.

· Bike Repair Assistant-Volunteer inspect donated and client bicycles and determine repair needs. Make bike repairs as needed.

· Administrative Assistant-Filing, data entry, administrative tasks such faxing, copying, emails, MS Word Documents and Excel. Flexible days/ times.

· Mail Room – Receive, sort, and file, distribute and purge mail in busy Mail Room. (Monday and Wednesday)

· New Client Intake & Photo ID - Enter new client data and create photo ID for Turning Points clients. (Monday, Thursday or Friday)

· Food Stamp Program - Assist clients with applying for and tracking food stamps (all days available)

· Laundry - Volunteers receive, wash, dry, fold and bag client clothing. A great position for couples or friends. (Tuesdays, Wednesday or Thursday)

· Room & Door Monitors - Volunteers monitor the intake flow in all areas of the Open Door (all days available)

· Barber/Stylist –Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays or Fridays

· Physicians, Dentist, Dental Hygienist, RN, LPN and Nurse Practitioners-Needed in Turning Points Medical and Dental Clinic. (all days available)
