I normally write about local news and politics, but I wanted to take a moment and welcome all of our winter visitors.
In our travel around the county celebrating Thanksgiving and shopping, I notice an increasing number of out of state and Canadian license plates.

The Pinellas beaches are bustling, and I hear a lot northern accents and foreign languages in the stores and out on the beach.
It is good to have you all back and to those joining us for their very first winter season; you could not have picked a better place to spend those cold winter months.

There is a lot to see and do here in Pinellas County and the entire Bay area. From professional hockey, featuring our Lightning to The Tampa Bay Bucks if you want to catch some action, there are usually plenty of tickets available.
From Tampa to St. Petersburg, Largo and Sarasota there are many performing arts Centers and entertainment venues to meet almost any interest.
Don’t miss Gulfport as you look for interesting places spend an afternoon, especially O’Maddy’s overlooking Boca Ciega Bay.
Often missed, if you’re a first-time visitor, is Sunset Beach home of two of my favorite beach bars Ka’Tiki and Caddy’s.
