Wendy's Robbery Under Investigation

A Bradenton location was robbed Monday morning.

Manatee County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating the robbery of a Bradenton Wendy’s that occurred early Monday morning.

According to the agency, the manager of the 6600 State Road 64 E. location stepped into the parking lot around 8:07 a.m. While outside, the manager was approached by another man who indicated he had a gun in his pocket.

The suspect then forced the manager back into the restaurant where he demanded money. Employees, an email from the sheriff’s office said, gave the man cash and he left the area on foot.

No injuries were reported in the robbery.

Deputies are now searching for the suspect. He is described as a black male who is about 5 feet, 6 inches in height. He weighs an estimated 150 pounds and was last seen wearing gray strip shirt or hoodie and gray pants.
