Wesley Chapel Lacrosse programs are a growing success

Scott Farquhar, Pasco Lions Lacrosse Administrator, stated that Wesley Chapel lacrosse was one of three founding programs for the Tampa bay area started in 2003 along with South Tampa and Clearwater. The following year we started high school programs in these three areas and at Jesuit High School.

The Tampa Tribe started in 2006, and was changed in 2013 to the Pasco Lions to affiliate with Saint Leo University Lacrosse. WC Lax has assisted new start up programs including the development of Pasco County Lacrosse Alliance The Wesley Chapel lacrosse program provides a learning experience for beginner and returning youth players K-8th.

Dedicated coaches build a solid foundational skill set, foster team work, and teach sportsmanship while having fun. The Warriors showcase their skills competing against other local teams from January through April.

The Pasco Lions is our local competitive lacrosse program providing team play for boys & girls through youth, high school and tournament play. The summer season is May-July and the fall season September-December. Teams typically practice twice a week and receive lacrosse conditioning and instruction. Warriors and Lions Lacrosse practices and home games are held at Wesley Chapel District Park, Wesley Chapel, FL

Scott stated that for more information please visit the website at www.wcaasports.org/lacrosse. League contacts are: Joe Palermo – Director of Lacrosse, Todd Kinney – Assistant Director of Boys Lacrosse, Scott Farquhar - Pasco Lions Administrator, Baily Saunders, Boys Warriors Administrator, Naomi Friedrich – Girls Warriors Administrator

Scott and the board are very proud of the dedication of the coaches and players and the support of families, friends, volunteers along with the support of sponsors, area businesses and Pasco County.
