What’s Open, Closed In Manatee County On Thanksgiving
Here are some closures and schedule changes for Bradenton-area government offices, facilities and services over the holiday weekend.
MANATEE COUNTY, FL — As Manatee County residents prepare to celebrate Thanksgiving on Thursday, here are some closures and schedule changes affecting government offices, facilities and services to keep in mind this holiday weekend.
Manatee County government offices: All offices will be closed Thursday and Friday.
Garbage and recycling: There will be no trash or recycling pick-up on Thursday. Thursday’s schedule will move to Friday, and Friday’s collections will move to Saturday.

Manatee County Area Transit: The MCAT fixed route, Handy Bus and Longboat Key Shuttle services will not be available on Thanksgiving Day but resume on Friday.
Manatee County Public Libraries: Closed Thursday through Sunday.

Manatee County public parks, preserves and beaches: Will remain open to the public.
Manatee County and Buffalo Creek golf courses: Closing at noon on Thursday.
G.T. Bray Recreation Center: Closed Thursday and Friday.
City of Bradenton government offices: Closed Thursday and Friday.
City of Bradenton trash collection: Thursday’s schedule for household garbage, yard waste and recycling will move to Friday. Friday’s collection will take place on Saturday.
