What's Open, What's Closed On Presidents Day
Important information on holiday closings around city and county government.

GOVERNMENT OFFICES
All city and county government offices will be closed.

SCHOOLS
Manatee County public schools and district offices are closed.

POST OFFICE
There is no mail delivery by the U.S. Postal Service. Post offices are closed.
TRASH PICKUP
For city residents, the local landfill is closed, and household garbage normally collected on a Monday was instead collected this past Saturday. There will not be an interruption in the collection of recycling or yard waste.
For residents of unincorporated Manatee, trash, recycling and yard waste collections for the week will be postponed one day from Tuesday through Saturday.
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
Manatee County Area Transit and the Anna Maria Island Trolley will operate normal daily routes.
PARKS AND BEACHES
Manatee County parks and beaches will be open to the public.
Manatee County and Buffalo Creek Golf Courses will be open.
The Fitness Center and Teen Room at G.T. Bray Recreation Center will be open from 6:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. Racquet Center Clay Courts will be open 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. The hard surface tennis/racquetball courts will be open from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. G.T. Bray’s gymnasium will be open from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Youth Camps will be open from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. The Aquatics Center will be open from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Manatee County’s publicly owned natural preserves will remain open.
LIBRARIES
Central Library, the only county library normally open on Mondays, will be closed for Presidents Day and will resume normal operating hours on Tuesday. All of Manatee County's branch libraries operate Tuesday through Saturday and are therefore not affected by the Monday closure.
